TEF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides direct salary supplementation to K-12 teachers to improve student outcomes. We believe teacher quality is the most important in-school factor for student success, and we invest in educators as the most effective way to help kids thrive. We are in our early growth stage, piloting our model with partner schools in the Atlanta area and building the foundation for national scale.

The Head of Development will own and drive TEF's fundraising strategy. This is a senior volunteer leadership role ideal for a development professional who wants to build something from the ground up and is energized by the opportunity to shape an organization's growth trajectory.
This role carries a clear pathway to a full-time, paid position as the organization scales. The Head of Development reports directly to the CEO.

Design and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy spanning individual donors, corporate partnerships, and grants
Identify, cultivate, and steward donor relationships on behalf of the organization
Develop and manage fundraising campaigns, including digital and event-based initiatives
Build and maintain a donor CRM and pipeline tracking system
Collaborate with the CEO on fundraising messaging, materials, and donor recognition programs
Ensure all fundraising activities comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws and adhere to the Corporation's fundraising guidelines
Set and track fundraising goals, providing regular progress updates to the CEO

Experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or related fields (corporate sales, business development, or relationship management also transfers well)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-directed and comfortable building systems and processes from scratch
Passionate about education equity and improving outcomes for students
Based in the Atlanta metro area preferred, but not required
